Comparison -

A suite of comparison tools designed for forensic scientists. CASEWORKS is intuitive and easy to use.  It automates common tasks to save time and frustration. 

 

Place two or more evidence images in a workspace, size 1:1, apply commonly used filters, set image transparency, overlay one image on another, rotate, zoom, crop, enhance an area and print.

 

Acquisition -

Access multiple camera controls in a single window. When coupled with Mideo Workstations, access cameras that cover a full macro to micro range of magnification. Acquire images directly into the CASEWORKS database and begin tracking image chain of custody immediately.

 

Photoshop™ Integration -

Seamless integration into Adobe Photoshop™. This allows users to export and optimize an image in Photoshop™ without interrupting CASEWORKS’ history tracking. Users can access all of the features of Photoshop™ while maintaining an image's original CASEWORKS history log.  CASEWORKS appends the image’s existing log with the newly generated Photoshop™ history and archives a version of the image before and after the image export for audit documentation.

Users are able to define the way they collect data so that searches are meaningful. CASEWORKS’ search allows the user to query across multiple information repositories to identify relationships between digital assets and facilitate case investigation. 

 

Create multiple catalogues within one database each with unique data sets (e.g - Training Images, Press Images, Firearms Catalogs, Cases, Internal Investigations, etc)

 

Kiosk Mode -

KIOSK offers a streamlined workflow for criminalists who need to quickly capture evidence images, save them to the database while maintaining image security.

 

Security and Reliability -

Our object oriented security model allows administrators to manage users, cases and images.  The original image is never altered. The history of all images are maintained - even those exported into Photoshop™ and returned to the database.

 

Dynamic Print Engine -

Create a page with images, text and graphics that pulls data from custom fields that you create. Save a report and use it anytime. Set up report security to limit the reports each department has to choose from. 

 

Vector graphic overlays ensure that graphics will be sharp and crisp even when enlarged for posters or court displays.  Use CASEWORKS to create pdf files of case images to email to other agencies or the DA. Automatically print proof sheets and history reports with a click of the mouse.
